Thank you for the pleasant stay at Gasthaus Sonne. I have seldom been greeted as hospitably as in this inn. I spent two nights in the sun for work. There are enough parking spaces directly at the hotel. If none are free, you can easily park on the street. The room was absolutely clean and comfortably furnished. I would also like to highlight the comfortable bed. My room did not have a toilet in the room, but that was clearly communicated in advance. However, there are also rooms with a bathroom and toilet. Pay attention to this when booking. A fan is available in the room for the summer. The hotel is right on the main street, which is not a problem due to the soundproof windows. WiFi is everywhere and it's really fast. In my opinion, the corona measures have been implemented well so that employees and guests are protected. The restaurant is great! The rump steak in particular was perfect! The homemade "Milchschnitte" also tasted great. Top, 5 deserved stars!

We celebrated our civil wedding in July with a meal on the beautiful terrace. Everything was perfect - from the communication in advance, to the decoration, the service and most importantly the food! Although there was a lot going on at lunchtime, the service was friendly. Food and drinks were very tasty, I would recommend it to others.

Today the four of us were able to enjoy a great and beautifully presented menu from an interesting and extensive menu. We were well looked after by attentive staff. We sat under old chestnut trees in the beautiful beer garden. Anytime again ..

Good food at a fair, if a little high, price. Nice service, which was unfortunately a bit slow. Still, the food (pasta and mushrooms) were excellent. Especially the garden area is very nice in the evening.

Many stairs and very warm room (room 9). Restaurant terrace nice under huge chestnut tree to be discussed on Saturday. Cool reception after booking via booming.com a few hours before arrival. Breakfast was fine the coffee was nice, no buffet probably due to corina time.

Nice staff, clean but unfortunately cold room was waiting for us. We picked up the heating ourselves. The spa and the two Toilettes are shared by guests. The shower is very tight, so it is very difficult to wipe. I was a little weird that in the restaurant area we could not dine as a guest in the evening because it was full house and no table is kept for guests who might stay there. There is also another friendly Restaurant nearby, so we were not left without dinner. Breakfast and coffee were very delicious, this can be requested for an extra 6 Euros / person on arrival. (Muesli, milk, yogurt, orange juice, cold cuts, cheese, boiled eggs, tomatoes ....) I recommend it to people in transit. Nice, quiet small village approx. 10 litigation drive.

Overnight stop including dinner. Good food and service but noisy room with thin walls and traffic noise if you stay at the road side of the inn. Would not recommend an extended stay here.

Very nice staff and a nice accommodation at very reasonable prices. Highly Recommended. Close to the center of Freiburg. Very good, varied breakfast; Coffee is fresh, not from the pot. 👍

Stayed for one night on our way back to Munich from France. Lovely people always eager to help. We both had dinner there as well and really liked it. Having food out in the beer garden had a great vibe.

What a nice place that was! We didn't expect much, booked it on a whim based on price — and when we arrived, we were greeted by the nicest person, and that alone immediately made us wanting to stay longer if we'd just had the time. Will definitely go back there if I find myself in the region again, really enjoyed it.

Innovative and solid kitchen. Attractive 3-course menus, e.g. Goat cheese praline on quinoa vegetables; Porcini ravioli; Crème brulée of mint and lemon balm - awesome !!

The value for money is excellent. The single room has no bathroom and the breakfast served at the table cost € 8 (buffet of fruit, yogurt, juice and muesli). During the restaurant's opening hours there is the risk of not finding parking at the hotel (along the road you can leave for 2 hours with a parking disc from 7 to 18). Overall, everything is ok

Wonderful place close to the Black Forest, inside is amazing, me and my wife have loved staying there for the night. For sure, if we have to go again in that area, we'll be back there!

Decent place, but very bad service. We waited for long time before somebody came talk to us. Also, on the website they state that the personnel can speak several languages, but they could barely speak English. Also, we had the breakfast included, but in the morning there was no personnel in the guest house

The owner Ulrike and her staff were the nicest people in German service sector. We had a problem with the room it was too small for our family , ulrike helped us to find another and switched the rooms. The food was the best we had , for a long time Everything was a outstanding. Lovely host and nice rooms. However the bell tower next door keeps dinging every 15 minutes starting from 6 am!

It's a 250 years old traditional house, clean and friendly staff. Im satisfied with the Service. the breakfast is like in your home, you cant get wrong with your 6 Euro. I can recommend this guest house.👍👍👍
